June 21: The world’s biggest charity esports festival Gamers Without Borders has announced that the second game in its international elite tournament series will be Counter Strike: GO (CS:GO), with the action starting tonight!

The second edition of Gamers Without Borders is being held under the theme of ‘No One Left Behind’ and is focused on uniting gamers in the fight against COVID-19 by raising awareness about the work that international charities are doing amidst the ongoing pandemic and supporting vaccination programs in the world’s most vulnerable countries, through a $10million charity fund, along with donations from viewers and gamers.

Eight teams from the US, Europe and South America, will compete against each other in its six-day CS:GO tournament: FaZe Clan, FURIA Esport, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Mousesports, ENCE, BIG, Fnatic and MIBR, with the action starting later today (Tuesday, June 22).

Together, the teams will compete to win a $1.5 million share of Gamers Without Borders’ $10million charity prize fund, money which will be donated by top performing teams to humanitarian organisations leading vaccine distribution in the world’s most vulnerable nations.

The CS:GO elite series will play out in a format of four teams allocated to two groups. Based on a double elimination bracket, the groups will go head-to-head to ultimately qualify the top two teams from each group to advance to the playoffs. During the playoffs, the team will follow a single elimination bracket.

The matches and gameplay will be streamed live on the Gamers Without Borders’ YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels.

Gamers Without Borders has already run a highly successful FIFA tournament this year, which featured La Liga icons Ronaldinho & Sergio Ramos going head-to-head at FIFA followed by an all-British superstar athlete charity battle between Anthony Joshua & Jesse Lingard.
